Miglia Events
If you are dreaming of a great escape for either yourself, your friends, your company or if you would like to spend an incredible weekend with exotic cars, incredible roads, haute cuisine and luxury hotels and spas during a fantastic event over 3 days, then we are happy to introduce the World Class Driving Miglia Events.
The Classic Mille Miglia (Thousand Miles) motor race was held in Italy 24 times between 1927 and 1957. The event passed through the romantic Italian countryside on great, historic driving roads.
Aside from occasional wins by Mercedes and BMW the event was dominated by the Italian cars of Ferrari and Alfa Romeo. With the introduction of the World Class Miglia events we are seeking to provide an unbeatable opportunity to enjoy the very best cars in the world including the cream of Italy from Ferrari, Alfa Romeo and Lamborghini on the premier driving roads in the US.
Unlike the great drivers of a bygone era who drove without stopping, you will have the chance to stay at leading hotels, enjoy the finest cuisine and experience luxury service at the end of each day of exhilarating driving through some of the most magnificent countryside in the US.
During the event, World Class Driving hosts will be on hand to provide information on the heritage of the cars, their racing pedigree and, if you want, even a few tips on how to get the best out of the cars. WCD scouts the route in advance to ensure that we have chosen an unparalleled selection of scenic roads.
Your Miglia experience which will comprise of driving six cars over 500/600 miles will be captured for you in photographs and video and these together with a Gift Pack will ensure that you have unique memories of your Miglia event.
For 2009 there will be 9 US based Miglia events and pricing will be inclusive of hotels and food at the selected locations and six cars driving experience:
