    Dyer Consequences
We spend the morning getting a feel for the cars, and after lunch the main event begins. Since my personal record - an indicated 206 mph, in a country that I should probably avoid from now on - occurred in an SLR McLaren 722, I choose the SLR for my first run. With an instructor riding alongside, I hit 198 mph. Almost there.

Autoblog attacks 200 MPH with World Class Driving
It's 5:15 AM when the second wake-up call arrives, but I've been up for almost an hour. Despite crawling into bed a little after midnight, I don't feel like a Koala after a eucalyptus binge – quite the opposite, actually. I'm wired, electric, ready to run a 26-mile marathon and then tackle the southwest face of El Capitan. It's been a long time since I've felt this kind of energetic surge without the help of everyone's favorite stimulant, and right now, I won't need caffeine, gaurana, taurine or a single B vitamin for the next three months. My bags are packed, my inbox is clean and I'm headed out the door with helmet in hand. Today is the day I break 200 miles-per-hour and I've finally got the tools to do it.

Xtreme Speed: Breaking The 200 MPH Barrier With World Class Driving
Those of you that know me know I like cars. Specifically, I like driving fast cars. More specifically, I really like driving exotic cars, as fast as possible, without the risk of jail time. Unfortunately, I don’t own any exotic cars. Fortunately, I learned about World Class Driving a few years ago, and they’ve recently managed to address my need for extremely high speed.

First person: Screaming down the highway, brain screaming
Strange as it may seem, taking a showroom-ready sports car to just over one-quarter the speed of sound puts the brakes on time, making each "one, Mississippi" feel like an eternity.

Supercars push the limit of fun and fearlessness, for a price
MOJAVE, Calif. — Here are a few things you don't do when driving 200 miles an hour.
You don't think about family, friends or work. You don't worry about updating your Facebook page or missing any Tweets. You don't daydream.

You do concern yourself with surviving an experience that few mortals will savor. The reward is one extraordinary adrenaline rush, while the penalty for distraction includes the destruction of a super-pricey supercar and, um, damage to not only your own body parts but also those of the celebrated race car driver nervously riding shotgun.

    The need for speed
Charlie Renner and his wife, Dawn, recently attended The World Class Driving Event in New Platz, N.Y. He won the trip as part of a national contest.
His trip wouldn’t have been complete without taking Farm and Dairy along for the ride. The following is Renner’s account of the excursion. It sounds like he had the time of his life — we know we did!

    200MPH Driving School
“Watch this for me, would you please?” asks Didier Theys, the Belgian endurance driver, indicating the digital speedometer in the 806-hp Koenigsegg CCX supercar. As I nod, Theys floors the throttle and we’re off, rounding the entrance to the lone, long runway of the Dade-Collier Training and Transition Airport in the heart of the Florida Everglades.
